With an emphasis on safety, Sully-Miller’s Traffic Control division was one of the first contractors in Southern California to have a dedicated traffic control division. Since 1995, each member of our division has been trained and certified by the American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA).
A core value of Sully-Miller is quality. It’s the reason we’ve been in business since 1923. Our AASHTO Certified Quality Control division is capable of on-site inspection for agencies and creating mix designs which is reflected every day on the jobsite and in our workmanship.
Alternative Project Delivery
For nearly 100 years, Sully-Miller’s success was built around a traditional Design-Bid-Build model- a standard type of procurement method in the construction industry also known as low-bid. However, as agencies and owners faced limited budgets and resources before, during, and after construction, procurement methods began to change over the past few decades. While we continue to obtain work through traditional procurement methods, today, Sully-Miller helps their customers deliver projects by using alternative project delivery methods like Design-Build, Progressive Design-Build, and CMAR/CMGC. These types of delivery methods cater to the owners needs by providing safe, innovative, timely, quality, and economical solutions from design to completion while uniting with owners and trusted design firms who focus specifically on infrastructure both above and below the ground as well as everything in between. As more of these types of alternative project delivery methods are offered, Sully-Miller will continue to play an active role in rebuilding Southern California’s infrastructure while increasing the safety and mobility for not only the customer, but for all end users.
