Serving as an Environmental Director at Colas USA, Matthew Eaton is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and maintenance of our Comprehensive Environmental Compliance Program.
Previously, Matthew was the Vice President of Environmental Compliance where he led the Environmental Compliance Programs for all hazardous waste landfill, oil recycling terminals, wastewater treatment, waste transfer, and storage facility operations across Western North America.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science/Zoology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. With 18 years of experience in Environmental Compliance and Management Systems, he has built a career dedicated to advancing sustainable practices across diverse industries.
Among his professional accomplishments, Matthew is most proud of the creation and publication of Sully-Miller’s first Annual CSR Report in 2025 that shows all the amazing work that is done in local communities. The report reflects our focus on long-term performance and continuous improvement. It also highlights our approach to managing environmental, social, and governance impacts through responsible decision-making while promoting safe, inclusive workplaces and transparency.
In his free time, Matthew enjoys coaching his daughters’ Ice Hockey team and plays on a men’s Ice Hockey team on the weekends.
