James Wilson serves as the Vice President of Materials for Sully-Miller, overseeing United Rock Products and Blue Diamond Materials, the aggregate and asphalt companies vertically integrated with Sully-Miller, bringing 2 years of experience within the Colas Company.
James started as a Quality Control Technician at an asphalt plant in Greenwich. Prior to relocating to California, he held leadership roles in Calgary, Alberta, Canada and Alpharetta, Georgia. In 2008, he moved to North America to serve as a Sales Director, further expanding his expertise in operations and sales of aggregates and asphalt product lines.
Throughout his career, James has been recognized for his contributions by earning the Shell Bitumen Award of Excellence and the Nordberg traveling scholarship to study recycling in the Netherlands. His proudest achievement is leading quality efforts for the runway resurfacing project at London Heathrow Airport.
James holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of Bedfordshire.
Beyond work, he continues to pass down a family tradition of collecting random rocks to his 3 children and now has a house full of aggregate on every spare shelf—much to the chagrin of his better half, Elinor.
