As Corporate Director of Safety & Risk Management, Brian G. DeTinne oversees the development and implementation of company-wide safety policies and programs. His responsibilities include claims management, cost control, safety leadership, and strategy, as well as monitoring key performance metrics and data analytics to drive continuous improvement across the organization.
Brian brings more than 20 years of safety leadership experience in the heavy civil and highway construction industry. Prior to his current role, he served as Southern California Regional Safety Director and California Regional Safety Director for two leading heavy/civil highway companies. With about 8 years of experience at Sully-Miller, Brian is most proud of reaching 2.9 million hours worked without a Lost Time Accident. He is also fortunate enough to be with Sully-Miller when they won the Colas 2025 World Safety Challenge Award.
Brian holds the Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) professional certification through the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) as well as the Traffic Control Supervisor certification through the American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA).
Brian is a grandpa to four awesome grandkids and enjoys working on and driving his 1971 Super Sport Chevelle.
