Safety at United Rock Products

 

Safety is one of the core values of United Rock Products and all of the Sully-Miller companies. We choose to make safety a part of our culture, not just a directive.

The single most important factor for United Rock Products is to operate in a responsible and safe manner... period. This not only includes the employees of United Rock Products, but also includes our customers, visitors, vendors, and truck drivers. In addition, MSHA (Mine Safety and Health Administration) performs bi-annual inspections of our facilities and operations. The mission statement of MSHA is to prevent death, disease, and injury from mining and to promote safe and healthful workplaces for the Nation's miners. United Rock Products abides by all MSHA's regulations in its daily operations and continuously makes every effort to exceed the regulations set forth by MSHA on a daily basis.

Ultimately, it's the job safety, health of our people and our customers that make us successful.

United Rock Products was the recipient of the Colas "Woodpecker" Safety award in 2007, along with two of our employees receiving Honorable Mention from CalCIMA (California Construction and Industrial Materials Association) for safety.
