United Rock Products wins 2009 Environmental Awards
Congratulations to United Rock Products for being recognized by the Irwindale Chamber of Commerce during its 2009 Environmental Awards and Green Business Expo. United Rock product received the Water Conservation Award for its installation of its fine recovery system or belt press. Since the implementation of the belt press; United Rock was able to reduce its water usage by the hundreds of acre feet and has allow them to shut down one of their water pump. With the reduction in water usage; the added benefit of having to purchase less water was achieved. United Rock future goal is to reduce its water consumption by half.
