Project Spotlight: East Glendora Avenue, La Puente

Sully-Miller's crews have been busy working on another Federal stimulus funded project for the city of La Puente.
The project on East Glendora Avenue which extends from Temple Avenue to Hacienda Boulevard was one of the city's "Shovel-ready projects" that they were able to apply for the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) Funding. The project involves removal and replacement of curbs, gutters, sidewalks, driveways, traffic loops, asphalt road surface and striping. We broke ground on the project in November. Over 30 of Sully-Miller's unionized laborers, operators and cement masons have worked on this project, along with employees from 5 subcontractors. Our sister company, Blue Diamond Materials, provided the asphalt and the rubberized asphalt from the Irwindale plant. This is just one of the 11 stimulus funded projects Sully-Miller's crews are working on.
Overseeing the work were Linda Newton, Estimator / Project Manager, Jim Williamson, Project Superintendent, Mike Jones, Project Engineer and Larry Cook, Project Foreman.
