Environmental Projects
Sully-Miller Contracting is an environmental leader. We believe that by creating an attitude that promotes sustainability we will achieve the highest degree of compliance with environmental regulations. Over the years, we have been involved with contracting and mining associations to develop effective rules and regulations. By participating in workshops we learn the intent of the regulator and help craft effective specific rules, and by knowing the details that were considered to establish these rules, we can better understand and abide these rules.
Being environmentally responsible is much more than simply following rules. Being one of the North American Colas Companies we participated in the 2006 Quebec City Accord event.
Below are the goals we are focused on:
A few of our specific projects have been:
-
United Rock Product participated in creating SCAQMD’s Rule 1157 – PM10 Emission Reductions from Aggregate and Related Operations
-
Distribution of Compact Florescent Bulbs to all company employees at the 2007 Annual Meeting
Currently we are working with SCAQMD’s Rule 115 and will continue to update our Environmental Projects.
