George W. Sully and Earl B. Miller founded the company in 1923 with only five highway employees, one asphalt plant and a team of mules. Sully-Miller has grown with Southern California, building much of the region’s infrastructure.

Sully-Miller Companies consist of Sully-Miller Contracting, United Rock and Blue Diamond Materials.  Each company supports the other. Blue Diamond Materials provides the hot mix asphalt manufacturing, United Rock – the aggregate and Sully-Miller Contracting executes the projects.  Accessibility to extensive resources and capabilities, enable Sully- Miller Contracting to handle a broad spectrum of projects.
